Volunteer Opportunities

The "home" for our volunteers is the Office and Horticultural Library in Room 105 of Casa del Prado in Balboa Park.

All of the activities of San Diego Floral Association depend on the good will and participation of volunteers. The Association has no paid employees. Volunteers work in the library and office, write and edit for the magazine, arrange tours, arrange for classes and workshops, and serve as officers and directors of the organization.

Visitors can drop by the office or library 10 am to 3 pm Monday through Friday. Closed Holidays.

It is a good place to stop to browse the latest periodicals and books on horticulture after your walk or prior to some other Park event. Experts on various plants may be in the library or office staff will refer you to the appropriate expert.

The library also has Internet access for ease of patrons use in checking horticultural information. Members may, of course, check out library books for home use.

Planning is underway for a number of special events in 2015 to mark the special centennial. It should be an exciting year, and many enthusiastic volunteers will be needed.
